Oh the 80's has a lot to response for. Maggie Thatcher, unbelievable hairstyles, elegant video clips, fingerless safety work gloves and John Astley. But lately the several years of decadence has also seen limitless artists and performers drop its absolute depths for musical technology impact. Some like Affects, go for the apparent pop shine impact, some are more easy, like The Murders, who wisely hidden their really like of companies Duran Duran.

Displaying a loathing for the mail G and a really like of apostrophes, Still Flyin’, who come from San Francisco, also use their impacts far more obviously. They must have been led to companies Rips for Concerns and Blancmange by the mother and father because they audio youthful and clean enough to have discovered something more latest to hold their hat on.

Beginning with a accident of produced percussion instruments, a booming bassline follows that is taken right out of 1985, and formerly used to excellent impact by companies Eliminating Scam. This is far more poppy than that though, with a cheeky little chiming design under the higher ab crunches. Then, to finish the 80's nods, there is a scattering of Depeche Function with some echoed words. Simple but efficient, this is sunlight pop for 2012, that also conveys you returning two years.

Taurus Trakker (the name is linked with Dylan) is consists of Western Londoners Martin Muscatt (vocals/guitar) and Allison Phillips (drums/b-vox). Just before their gig at the 12 Bar, Music-News pixie Claudia A. met the powerful punk-rock-blues duo over a consume to talk about their new record ‘Building Ten’, to discover out what it’s like to be Conflict star Mick Jackson youthful relation, and listen to about upcoming programs for community control.

Music-News:
Martin, the name a record of your new record ‘Building Ten’ is about operating in developing ten, but the name could just as well reference the ten new songs on the album…

Martin Muscatt:
Yes, there can be definitely a twice significance to the name. There are ten songs on the record and all of a rapid I went “Oh! We got this tune known as ‘Building Ten’ and yes it’s like we were developing ten paths. Though one fan believed the name represents making a large spliff created of ten papers!”

M-News:
I’ve observed that you bring a note pad around to scribble down thoughts and findings for your songs. Ray Davies of The Problems used to do that – some of his findings created it into Problems songs about their regional Northern London, uk, yours a lot about your regional Western London, uk.

MM:
Yes, I very much appreciate Ray Davies for having done that. When we were dealing with Tony morrison Clarke, who has the guy who registered with the Beatles, he provided us a lot of motivation. One of the components he said was that my songs advised him of Ray Davies’. So that was very motivating for me that he said that!

M-News:
Do you think illustrating from those type of findings creates for better song-writing material?

MM:
Definitely. The whole strategy to writing a tune about your environment… I think that writing about components that you see in daily routine is better than writing about components that are so far away you never know anything about.

M-News:
There’s only one tune on the record that is published together with Allison, you wrote the relax. How come?

MM:
I am the primary wordsmith on the ‘Building Ten’ record, real, although Allison and I kind of attractive components together. But for the next record, which we’re already operating on, Allison and I will be writing more songs together.

M-News:
While punk rock and garage place stone control the musical technology design of the paths, components of doldrums and even rut band through. At what factor during the writing procedure does it become obvious which route a tune takes?

Allison Phillips / MM:
I think it was quite natural, and we had some amazing guitar players. For example, ‘Gamblin Blues’ - that began with the defeat, and then on the producing the drop instrument came in and that was when the bluesy encounter of the tune designed.
Also, it has something to do with age as well – because someone our age will be acquainted with some really excellent songs. Whereas performers from a youthful technology, their first experience stone songs might be Nirvana, which is excellent too, never get me incorrect. But what I’m saying is that Allison and I, we go right returning into the doldrums and also the punk rock place, so we are more acquainted with this particular lifestyle and record and it comes out in our songs. But we still have a very youthful punk rock power to it!

M-News:
The monitor ‘West London, uk Rock N Roll’ seems to lament the decline of excellent old origins stone as we know it. Absolutely, that goes for the whole of London, uk and beyond?

MM:
I acknowledge, but when I wrote those lines I was considering more of the record of Western London, uk you know. I was particularly looking at The Conflict and I was particularly looking at The Who, and also the record of the reggae there, you know. There’s still a lot of the old hates clinging around in the Grove, so there happens to be lot of different musical technology societies in that aspect. But you know, I like a lot of the contemporary hip-hop products too, especially the more contemporary hip-hop. So I was looking at that particular musical technology lifestyle in Western London, uk when I compose the tune, in addition, there's a little referrals to the Conflict in there.

M-News:
You perform about an trip into Chinatown to get a body art done on the tune ‘Temporary’ – is that a knowledge and if so, did your Mum cry?

MM:
Yes, it is a knowledge actually. Did my Mum cry? She would if she realized, haha!

M-News:
Martin, the Mick Jackson connection… is obviously a advantage but has it ever was standing in the way with regards to how the community thinks you, or TT’s shows?

MM:
Well it’s type of a double-edged blade. Sometimes we get individuals who want us to do something and then instantly, they come out with the punchline and they go, “Of course, Mick will be enjoying, will not he?” but it is not really like that because he just advances up when he wants. We never have any particular design with him, we just sometimes perform together when he’s around. You know, if Mick Jackson will not be my relation then I’d still would encounter motivated or would like to perform with him because I still would encounter as enthusiastic about his songs. As well I cannot lie by acting it does not help being linked with a name that everyone areas, because of course it allows getting discovered from all the a large number of functions around.

M-News:
Allison, from the big record of women stone n throw percussionists, which of the following – if at all – have motivated you the most: Mo Tucker (Velvet Underground), Exotic Western (The Runaways), Palmolive (The Slits), Terry Castellano (The Donnas) or Gina Impact (The Go Go’s).

AP:
Wow… gosh… that is exciting. Actually, it would be the percussionist of Bum, a group that Suzie Quatro’s sis Patti had registered. To be sincere, I’m not that particularly considering women percussionists. Terri Lyne Carrington is a jazz music percussionist from New You are able to that I quite like, but she is jazz music. Out of all the ones that you described I assume it’s Mo Tucker but actually I discovered to perform percussion instruments with Charlie H in thoughts. But for Mo Tucker I have excellent regard, and the way she performed percussion instruments in Purple velvety Subterranean.

M-News:
So was Charlie H the purpose why you desired to become a drummer?

AP:
Actually no, it was because of The Fall. I was enthusiastic by that group and used to adhere to them around the nation, they had two percussionists and I was enthusiastic about them, too. But also both my grandmother and my dad performed percussion instruments, so it operates in my household I think.

M-News:
How did the latest Poly Styrene charitable organisation gig go? Of course, you have an X-Ray Spex connection…

MM:
That was excellent, yes. I was actually quite abided by to be doing it. I was enjoying instrument for Poly/X-Ray Spex in the 90’s. And Mark Wright, who will be enjoying with us on level later on, he was with them as well. For the charitable organisation gig we just reserved up a few individuals that we discussed to and products.

M-News:
So what exactly is your strategy for community domination?

MM:
Haha! Our strategy for community control is… New Jersey! We’ve been requested to maybe perform in New Nj in The holidays are, they are placing on a factor known as ‘Strummer Memorial’ and we got a little record of placing on little Joe Strummer memorials here in London, uk. So we were requested by the New Nj coordinators to be associates if you like. So well, we have a few components in the pipe but I cannot get too much into information as yet.

M-News:
Cool, that is a cover. Thanks for your power and power and effort and I look ahead to see you folks over in the 12 Bar.
